Rick Rubin is in the process of "weighing an offer to become co-chairman of Columbia Records," according to a New York Times story. Rubin, co-founder of Def Jam, hitmaker/career-reviver with American (through Colombia), and all-around unfuckwithable dude, would be running the label, signing artists and working on marketing alongside Steve Barnett at Columbia in his first ever executive po$ition. You crazy for this one, Rick.
